Injury Management
Traditional medical practice focuses on management of the injury. A good industrial clinic manages the injury and the occupation (return to work) aspects simultaneously, recognising that for effective management both require equal attention. This facilitates early return to suitable work and minimises resultant disability.
We communicate with the return-to-work coordinator after assessment of the case. It is important that the patient is involved with the return-to-work decisions, and we will liaise with the patient’s usual doctor where appropriate.
